The issue of studying abroad has attracted wide attention as an increasing number of students are applying to study in overseas universities.
Some people hold the view that studying abroad is enriching as it gives students sufficient exposure to a new language, familiarity with a different culture and a chance to grow in different ways. Being bilingual or even multi-lingual in today’s fast-paced world help one to keep up with new developments. Besides, respect for other people and their traditions will foster cooperation and peace, thus ensuring the world is safe for future generations. Moreover, being out of one’s familiar environment enables one to feel freer to experiment with different ways of doing things. Individuals need time to be on their own to become adaptable.
However, opposing views do exist. Some people argue that studying abroad will exert a heavy burden on family economy and that living alone before students are physically and mentally prepared will creat an excessive amount of anxiety for students.
From my perspective, the advantages that studying abroad affords overweigh the disadvantages it brings. It is advisable that any individual should balance the pros and cons so that they may make sound personal choices.

Nowadays, an increasing number of student choose to further their education abroad, which has aroused a heated discussion on if it's a wise choise.
As every coin has two sides, studying abroad is no exception.
On the one hand,the most obvious advantage to overseas study is a real use of a different language. While a person can study a foreign language in his or her own country, it cannot compare with constant use of the language in everyday life. There is no better opportunity to improve second-language skills than living in the country in which it is spoken.
On the other hand, however, It's no easy affording one to study abroad for several years, a secondary school student may not able to absoultly help him self in daily live,moreover, the total prize of going abroad is not a small number.
However, living and studying abroad offers one a new and different perspective of the world and, perhaps most important, of one’s own country. Once beyond the initial shock of being in a new culture, the student slowly begins to get a meaningful understanding of the host society.
In conclution, going abroad for education is an expensive as well as beneficial process which requires careful thinking.Therefore, be honest with your self and make a right decision.
