就是那个instead of后面为什么要个IN?是为了前后对称么?

1、under the help of 语法上没错.但是不地道.一般说with the help of比较多.
2、in the hall和前面的in the garden都是介词短语表地点.肯定是不能省的.其实可以这样看.把全句补充完整应该是We will have the discussion in the garden instead of having it in the hall...明白没?就算说虽然有省略的成分.但是整个句子还应该是完整的.
常用with one's help 楼上误人子弟了,根本没有under the help of 这种用法
instead of这里并列结构并列的是地点状语,所以要有in
它后面一般接名词、代词、动名词或介词短语作它的宾语
对的。。under 经常表示在……之下，和中文用法差不多
instead of 后面加介词短语，是一个常规的表达法，用对称去理解也可以，就是后面的内容可以替换前面的与之前的句子搭配
1.首先可以肯定，没有under the help of 这种用法。
正确的应该是：with the help of (sb.)
也可以换成：with one's help
2.第二个问题中的介词in不能省略。
假设把后面这个地点换成on the train,那就是：
