记住一点,不像其他从句,定语从句的从句部分永远是缺少某一部分的,而缺少的这一部分对应的就是主句中的先行词.从句中如果缺少主语、动词宾语、或介词宾语,则使用关系代词.从句中如果缺少的是时间状语、地点状语、或原因状语,则使用关系副词.
例如：
主句 I visited the museum.从句 (The museum) has a large collection of art.从句中省略了主语 “The museum” 所以用关系代词which或that：I visited the museum which has a large collection of art.
如果是选择填空 I visited the museum ____ has a large ollection of art.看到从句没有主语就直接填入which 或 that.
主句 I visited the museum.从句 There is a large collection of art in (the museum).从句中省略了介词 in 的宾语 the museum.所以用关系代词which：I visited the museum which there is a large collection of art in.但这种语序相对少见,通常的做法是把介词提到关系代词之前：I visited the museum in which there is a large collection of art.
如果是选择填空 I visited the museum ____ there is large ollection of art in.看到从句中 in 的后面没有东西,缺少介词宾语,直接填which.（介词宾语不能用that指代）
主句 I visited the museum.从句 There is a large collection of art (in the museum).从句中省略了地点状语 in the museum,所以用关系副词 where：I visited the museum where there is a large collection of art.
如果是选择填空 I visited the museum ____ there is large ollection of art.看到从句是一个完整句子（有完整的主谓宾,或完整的there be句子）,同时发现museum恰好可以作从句的地点信息,就直接填入 关系副词where,或者填入介词+关系代词 in which.
